The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- Cannonier, Imavov, Reyes, Rosas on NOW

What happened to Ryan Hall, TUF Winner. He hasn't fought since winning the show. Dana really don't mess with him.

woodley being black aint got nothing to do with the UFC not promoting him....yall needa quit

dood just hasn't had a big run yet....

he's had some good wins here and there but he's also had some mediocre ones as well....he hasn't been able to string together a streak that he can build momentum and hype off of in the mainstream.....he's been picky in the past and been willing to wait for the right opponents, its smart for his career but his momentum dies in between fights, people forget.

I wouldn't call him no killer, just a smart fighter who's pretty damn well rounded and got some heavy hands. Pretty run on the mill in the UFC nowadays, he dont really bring nothing new or exciting to the table yet.

The difference between woodley and say Rumble is, rumble got that highlight reel mannn. You know its showtime when rumble going to fight.....woodley its like 50/50 right now.

Not saying he cant become a killer like rumble, but we have yet to see it....

its all about runs man.

garbrandt been talking so much mess. Saying Cruz will be eating through a straw if they fought. cody would be lucky to hit him clean even once. It's more likely that Cruz would knock him down. I need Wolverine Lineker to put garbrandt to sleep.

I don't know why they don't promote the Wood... besides the obvious.

He's good lookin no Romo and ends fights. If they'd promote him he'd do numbers. He's even good on the desk
They don't promote period. It's about the UFC brand. Besides the YouTube stuff, what else is there? Fox has been a disappointment. They forced MM down our throats and it went no where.

And whoever said there's no point to Cyborg. She's been the most dominant woman fighter the last decade or so. Promote her like Tyson in his prime. And you humanize her opponent and play them in the David role. With her it's about super fights/interesting matchups. You've Got Zigano, Holms, Tate, Nunez, Pena, the 4 Horse Women, etc. Plenty of comp for her to wash. Build her name up then finally give us the Rousey/Cyborg fight we want.

One more week to go. I'll be in Vegas the weekend of the event and I expect the atmosphere to be electric. Still got to figure out where to watch it at.

I'm so tired of McGregor talking all the nonsense about the first fight like he didn't lose. And this dude is talking about how he'll see what happens before he considers defending his belt like Dana wants. I hope he gets destroyed again.

I hope he gets demolished. Nate better bring his A game. Conor gonna come in with a better game plan this time around. I have a feeling Conor gonna keep his distance and pick his shots or something.

And the media is still giving this dude undue praise talking about how well he handled himself since the loss.

His constant excuses in nearly every interview since are reaching Aldo levels.

he didnt want to take additional beatdown/knocked out or have ref come in for a stop and proceeded to tapout

find conor amusing, but dude needs to focus on the fight and not the boxing world/mayweather/wwe/cena, etc.

if he gets put down again, his ppv buys fixing to drop cause ppl gonna get tired of that act real quick.

I love the Diaz Brothers. I respect their dedication to their craft, their BJJ/Boxing skills and cardio.

I think Connor has a shot. And if I was a betting man, I would've put money on him when he was +400^.

Having said that, I'm not sure he would've beaten RDA. He should take the Alvarez fight.

He's the only MMA fighter that matters. Ronda and Connor are the biggest stars in the game. They're bigger than GSP and Brock. Like we are seriously entertaining a boxing fight between Connor and Mayweather. The idea is silly but because of Connor's name people are interested. Mayweather isn't trying to capitalize on any other MMA name (besides Ronda).

Ronda has been brought up in discussions with female US Judo and Wrestling competitors.

I though Conor was coming in as the favorite again. 209 MF!!

I haven't seen any Diaz-Mcgregor back and forth with the mic on unlike the days before UFC 196. Did I miss it or Conor don't like it anymore?

It's fight week now and not much has happened to promote the fight more.

They put on a one man Q&A with McGregor running his mouth about how was about to win the first fight, is going to win this fight, he will beat Mayweather, and the worlds top grapplers.

I'm sure the Diaz fan bros will get upset but Nate Diaz' boxing skills aren't as great as some make it seem. I've watched some of Nate's training and it is sloppy.

Watching the first fight again, I feel like Nate won the first round.  Nate didn't wobble McGregor at all, but he landed more strikes throughout the round. I think people focused a little too much on Nate getting cut and bleeding even though he wasn't actually hurt at all. McGregor had a good minute in the second round of landing a few solid punches, but again didn't really hurt Nate at all.

McGregor falsely believes he did a lot better than he actually did and that attitude isn't conducive to at all.

Granted I'm not a boxer but I've heard people say it's not "traditional" boxing. It's very unorthodox and he can get the jab at so many different angles and it's very precise. That 1-2 is deadly

You A Damn Lie!

Conor was tagging Nate all of Round 1. Even if Nate wasn't hurt it was still 10-9 McGregor. If you don't see the positives that Conor could take from that Round then you're clearly showing your bias.

Watch it again without wearing your shamrock green briefs.

Diaz's boxing is very unorthodox, but he landed more shots. And when he would take a shot he would sway with it nullifying the power.

Edit: You can call it 10-10 because he cut Diaz and Diaz took him down. People want to believe McGregor did better to justify a rematch.
