videos are pulled off of youtube because a lot of them are duplicates and they just want you to watch the majority of them with VEVO. VEVO and youtube pay the record companies and artists. radio and mtv gives us the free music and videos as well and do the same thing.

Universal is protecting their interests. Research and sales show that people who visit those sites will not buy the digital/physical CD but will pirate it instead. Why allow the music you paid for be streamed across the Internet for free? Its not like websites do one or two songs. In most cases these blogs are putting up most of the album.

I see what your point is but I would also consider the same people to be the ones that form a fan base that a paying fan base is built on in many cases.
