Posts: 9290 08/14/08 12:10 AM Administrator	For those who haven't been keeping up with our donations, NikeTalk recently designated $6,820 to Kiva.org, to be loaned to entepreneurs in developing nations selected by YOU, our fellow members. You can read more about the donation here, in our announcement thread. This past week, we gave you the opportunity to browse through Kiva.org's loan profile pages and nominate your favorites. Now, you'll be able to cast your votes to determine which loan we'll fulfill. Some of your nominees have already raised 100% of the requested loan amount, so they won't be included in our poll. Here's a list of the remaning nominees: Hassan Sanbura's Group Kamu Kamu women's group Thi Hong Le's Group Nangendo Agnes, Kamu kamu group Grupo Kuña Kyrey Group Thanks to all those who've participated thus far. MethodMan- Are you guys donating from the money the ads generate or are you still receiving donations from members. I'd like to help out in the future so some clarity would be appreciated. Thanks. The great thing about this is that we're ALL capable of helping any of the entrepreneurs on Kiva.org. You can lend as little as $25 and, when it's paid back, it'll be waiting for you in your kiva account, ready for you to lend out again and again. We donate 100% of our ad revenue beyond the basic costs of hosting necessary to keep the site online. Everything that we could otherwise keep for ourselves as a staff in compensation for our services is donated to charity. Since the ads support our hosting costs, we no longer request donations from our members to keep NT online. Instead, we'd rather you donate that money to a worthy charity, like the ones we've supported thus far. For those who want to get something tangible back in return, consider buying one of our NikeTalk t-shirts. Once they've sold out, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to charity.
