Apparently, this young man is not familiar with the Internet.
Kansas police arrested a 21-year-old male on Tuesday after he allegedly broke into a Salina sex shop and stole several XXX DVD cases -- only to later realize that they were empty.
Juan Aguirre destroyed a $500 glass door and stole six empty video cases from Cirilla's adult entertainment store around 12:45 a.m., Tuesday, according to a Salina Police Department report obtained by The Smoking Gun.
Shortly after arriving on the scene, police found Aguire riding his bike in the vicinity of the sex shop. A brief line of questioning led to the discovery of the six empty DVD cases and a sledgehammer head on a rope seemingly used to break the glass doors.
So even if he got away, Aguire would have found himself pretty much empty handed.
Officials charged Aguirre with burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property. He was being held at the Saline County Jail in lieu of $6,000 bond.
Investigators valued the DVD cases at $5 a piece.
