I came here to say almost exactly this, but I would rephrase it. If healthcare is going to be state run, and all people are going to be contributing through taxes, then those who choose to eat unhealthy food should be taxed more. It simply isn't fair to those who choose to eat healthily.

I dislike Ron Paul very strongly, and I think his policies are nonsense, but when the crowed booed him for trying to explain why we were attacked on 9/11 I just felt awful for the man. It's baffling that so many people will completely disregard facts because they've been fed a certain narrative.

I think this is where a lot of people get confused. Did they have a hand in/plan it? Probably not. Did they take advantage of the situation to carry out their Neo Conservative policies to extents that wouldn't have been possible without 9/11? You bet your #*$ they did.
