Weird, i just realized this. My other pair(s) of wc3 and bc3 from 2011 have diagonal perforation. Though, i noticed the right shoe of this pair in particular is up and down. You're probably right, a manufacture flaw, which isn't rare for JB. But if i can get more opinions pls let me know...
