Mine's beginning to crack too.  My fire reds have paint crack on both the black midsole and white paint near the air sole...On my breds, the white part of the sole is cracking...Man, I have to repaint it soon...and I love wearing this 4s...

Same thing happened to me...It happened April last year...I ordered 2 pairs of shoes from finishline.com, I let them pay for my item cause I don't have a credit card...They charged me $25 for their fee, which I accepted.  That is the reason why I bought two pairs, so I can maximize their service...
