How should I go about redying the nubuck? Get the angelus dye and mix till I find the right one? & is this the right tape cause I was using it on a custom and it seemed to let a lot of drainage through

I was stripping the midsole to these and apparently I did something wrong, I was using acetone, cotton Baja and cotton swabs. Some of the paint drained onto the nubuck. Any way I can fix this?
