Description on them says full length air, the feel and the fact the squeaking comes from under the surface the insole sits on (and most of the way through it) seems to me it’s the same full length sole as something like the Air Span 3-4 had, but probably using cheap glue to fasten it to the foam...

I don’t think I can trust full-length air in a cheap model like the winflos - I bought my son a pair of winflo 9s just for school and after a month those airsoles are squeaking SO BAD inside the sole. I have an earlier model with two zoom units with no squeaking issues after a couple hundred miles.

This is why I’m still going back to my 33s for treadmill runs, and I have some DS 34s waiting in the wings. And I’ll eventually pull my Vomero 10s into the recovery run rotation.

I definitely like having the Vomero 5s back as a retro option, but for $30, un-DSing a pair of 10s is much more fiscally responsible. I ran a marathon in my former 10s so I knew these would be plenty comfortable for a daily rotation.

I was waiting for the mids to then make an appearance since I liked the design of the reflective elements on the mids more. But I’ll take the lows!

They were just in my closet - not super humid and definitely not musty, but also not in any sealed container. I’ve got the pixels too, and they’re showing a couple signs of issues, but no crumbling just yet. They’re several years younger though I’ve worn them maybe more than the 2008 lavas.

I mostly agree about the GTX if it’s raining or there’s a chance of having to take a dip through a stream, but I actually find it really helpful in snow. I don’t have to worry about it soaking through as it melts since the outside of the upper doesn’t stay wet.

Depends on where you live. I wore my 2008 pair a LOT while in California, but after 2 years living in Michigan, they died last year.

Sooo the Courtposite is coming back? At least with that one the retro has a possibility of actually being MORE comfortable than the original. 😂

Even wearing pants or jeans will fray that upper at this point unfortunately. I had that same model/color about 6 years ago and much of it frayed though everything else was in good shape. Those are in amazing shape!

Those Edges and were EVERYWHERE. Trainer Accel was another super common model
