I've been doing some research and came across fitbit. Anyone have any experience with it?

I have read a lot of pretty good reviews about this, but I am wondering, will the band still work if it is in my pocket? I can't wear stuff like this on my wrist at my job, so the alternative would be to put it in my pocket and have it track that way. Thanks!
