I in no way made reference to a specific shoe, I was speaking in generalities.

Not necessarily.  They are made to be sold.  You can do with them whatever you like. I wear my Air Max's, Tailwind '99s, etc, but not J's, KD's or Dunk's that are worth money.

Why would they not have the shoes before selling them?  Wouldn't you want a product in stock before selling them to the general public?  Is it Nike that doesn't get them the shoes in time?
