2 questions here for you guys. I will be swapping a pair of 2000 infrareds soon and the donors I bought are a pair of white infrared 6s (2010 from the pack).
1) the donors have a white toecap. Is their a proper technique to make it black? (In case it proves difficult to separate the outsoles...
The better the technique/quality of work the more likely they are to last you. That being said, with the quality of Johns work I would think you'd be just fine wearing them whenever you'd like
Anyone have experience with old 11s?
In this case I bought a pair of 2000 space jams. Very clean but I think the owner stored with silica packs. They have some separation but I haven't completely separated them yet.
Anyways; I turned the shoe upside down and all these little flakes came out(from...
Thanks man I will try that. I've never used shoe polish tbh, you think it would bring some shine to the area that doesnt have any? I'm still surprised this happened, I really did not know that the "patent leather" was just some sort of thin coat
What you guys are looking at is on the toebox.
This is my girls pair of 01 Columbias that she was wearing today and the toebox was separating so we needed to fix it since she didn't have spare shoes. Anyways, I applied the glue and then clamped them with my hands for a bit and then put a piece...

Alright I have a few dilemmas with these. I don't know if I should just reglue the toe caps and wear them or just tear off the entire midsole..
The cracks and separation happened after I wore them for the first time but everything else is intact and thhe midsoles are still firm and glue...
You
I think you might be right, that specific shoe is separating but its weird because the carbon fiber separated not just the sole itself
If you are able to remove it keep me posted id love to know if that really is the case
This is my first time having using salon care 40. Top is before bottom is how they are today. Right next to the jordan symbol I've noticed a white area forming does anyone know why that is ?

Hey guys so I am pretty sure the material on these is some form of suede. However it is stiff now and not buttery as they are when like new. Just wondering if there's any way I can restore the suede so that it won't be as stiff
