I use those ikea type shoe trees and cover them with 2 thick wool socks then go at it. Keeps the material tight in the process also use heat on the midsoles to flatten them out at the same time, helps keep the shape.

.5 bigger then the upper size you're using for the swap so yeah an 11.5 am1 midsole on an 11 97 upper.

I got lucky with my first pairs, Nike had a site wide 20% off on the day they dropped here so copped all 3 i wanted.
