Going to have 3.5 days in the Tokyo area. I want to do all the famous tourist things and any possible day trips nearby.

Headed to Japan in two weeks. 3 days in Niigata to purchase 1500+ Koi Fish, then another 4-5 days for leisure. Thinking about Tokyo / Kyoto. Need suggestions on things to do!!!! 8o

Thanks for the suggestions, everybody! Some real helpful tips. Voodoo Donuts, Portland City Grill, that view from Rocky Butte, Pine State Biscuits, coffee shops all sound like must-do's. Funny that even www.time.com even suggests seeing the strip clubs :lol

Main objective is to accomplish all the must-do tourist attractions while trying out a wide variety of food. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to alcohol. Def carving out an afternoon (2-3 hrs for Powell's Books). EDIT: And yes. I'm from the Bay (Oakland) and live a few blocks away from Harborside :hat
