Washington Wizards 2015-2016 Season Thread - Let the firings begin!

Good point. At this point, we have a decent idea what the team will look like next year. So we'll just how to see how Plan Z stacks up against the moves other Eastern Conference teams make. In other news, KD to GS just made the offseason plans for 29 other teams irrelevant.

Washington Wizards 2015-2016 Season Thread - Let the firings begin!

I don't mind the Nicholson signing given the price I suppose, and I'll be curious to see if Satoransky can live up to the hype and he signed for cheap so no qualms there. Burle could pay dividends and a 2021 second rounder... who cares.. so that isn't bad either. Mahinmi had some very nice games...

Washington Wizards 2015-2016 Season Thread - Let the firings begin!

Did Wall and Beal even try to talk to any of the big-name players available and sell them on Washington? I see the refusal for KD to grant us a meeting and that Horford chose a less talented roster (assuming no KD) to join than ours as indictments on what players around the league think about...

Washington Wizards 2015-2016 Season Thread - Let the firings begin!

WOW. This honestly couldn't have gone any worse. I would have much rather have paid Ryan Anderson $20M. And four years? What an abject disaster this offseason has been for the Wiz. I think missing the Playoffs again is in play if not even probable.

Washington Wizards 2015-2016 Season Thread - Let the firings begin!

I agree we had no choice on the Beal contract. $130M is insane money but we couldn't let him leave and it is similar to the Drummond and Batum deals. I'm fine with it. Also completely agree about the genesis of Horford's All-Star appearances (heck, Kyle Korver and Jeff Teague also made...

Washington Wizards 2015-2016 Season Thread - Let the firings begin!

Obviously Horford is a four-time All-Star, but spending that exact same max money on him instead of KD is just such a huge bummer. It is just a lot to commit to a 30-year old who averaged 15 and 7 each of the last two years IMO. At this point, it may be the best option, but I'm not all in on it...

Washington Wizards 2015-2016 Season Thread - Let the firings begin!

There is no doubt the Thunder's starting lineup is better than the Wizards', especially after the trade last week. I think we would be his best move in the East from a championship-chance stance. So, aside from staying in OKC, I really thought that the Wiz were the best landing spot. Obviously a...

Totally agree that it is clear he is meeting only with franchises that he trusts and that have pedigree. That much is clear. Also completely agree that this entire KD2DC endeavor was an abject failure, and that the Wizards are a joke. Having said that: 1) I honestly don't think Ted will see...

Washington Wizards 2015-2016 Season Thread - Let the firings begin!

Assuming the reports of not even getting a meeting are true--and said reports are coming from multiple reliable NBA writers--it is a utterly devastating blow. It would be one thing if he just resigned with OKC. But to give five other teams meetings and refuse to even listen to Ted and EG's...

    Direct TV

I literally watch virtually nothing but sports, and have been with DirecTV since way back when they were the only place to get League Pass in the early 90s. They are still the only place to get Sunday Ticket, so until that changes, I'm with DirecTV only.

Washington Wizards 2012-2013 Season Thread - Thanks for a great year!

To expand on what I said earlier and piggyback on Meth and Shuttlesworth's comments, I too have sat all over the Verizon Center and think you will have fun wherever you sit. I've literally been on the floor and against the wall at the top. I also couldn't agree more with what Meth said about...

These seats are obviously upper level, but they are also only two sections off center court. What row are you in? You can see decently well from these seats, especially in the lower rows. I'd say it's still worth going.

Washington Wizards 2012-2013 Season Thread - Thanks for a great year!

I'm entering my 12th year as a season ticket holder (got them when MJ came back) and I don't think the playoffs are very realistic, even the 8th seed. I mean, we just don't have the talent. AND, I think an appearance as an 8th seed would actually be worse for team development than missing the...

    $100 Jordan Shorts on NikeStore

These were featured in SLAM a while back. In addition to what has already been discussed, they also fit slimmer than normal Jordan shorts. I believe Chris Paul gave input when they were developing them $100 is obviously a lot for a pair of basketball shorts, BUT for those of you saying it's the...
