Working from home vol. would you get fired

Went on indefinite telework this week. First couple days were difficult because I was trying to find groceries. Definitely requires discipline as this job lets me work at my own pace for the most part.

If you had a do-over at life, what would you do differently ?

I thought about this before replying. I left off going to a different (smaller, out of state) college because if I did I wouldn’t have most of my boys or my girl. Life is good because of my circle. I very recently moved out of my home state with my girl and wonder if I made the right choice...

If you had a do-over at life, what would you do differently ?

My short list would probably be: -Spend more time playing ball growing up instead of playing video games. 31 years old and still can’t dribble decent with my off hand... -Made more of an effort to hang out with extended fam outside of holidays and gatherings. I’ve judged a few of them based on...

    the thread about nothing...

Over the past 3-4 years I’ve had soles start to separate, paint fade/chip, mid soles crack, etc. on some of my favorite kicks from HS and college. Waking up to this one right here hurt bad :frown: Still plenty of life left. But these are my favorite Js and sucks to see them start to go...

Thanks for mentioning the tour. Booked tickets to see them at Pepsi Center. I saw them for the first time back in 2015 and the show was great from the visuals to acoustics. Still regret not seeing them at Red Rocks a couple years ago. My favorite concert venue by far but the show was in the...

Anyone have a 4k Ultra HD television? Help

I’ve had my LG B7A for about 2 years and there is slight burn in from ESPN/PTI tickers. Pixel refresh didn’t have any effect. It doesn’t impact picture quality but I’d be lying if I said it hasn’t impacted MY viewing experience. Others don’t see it but I know it’s there and I tend to focus on...

    FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

Oh I know. Had A5 a few months ago at Misono in Shinjuku. It really does melt in your mouth. I don’t think I’d pay $200+ for a steak I’d have to cook myself though.

    The 30 and Over thread

    31. Still get carded most of the time. Honestly, these past 3 years have been way better than the entirety of my 20s. Professional development and better income has helped a lot. Got a good woman. The people I’m surrounded by now versus those I was running with in my early/mid 20s is like night...

    FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

They really didn’t. I can’t describe the texture but it’s not like the inside was moist or runny, it just wasn’t dry like traditional pancakes. The honey butter and syrup made a very good thing great.

Anyone have a 4k Ultra HD television? Help

I know this is a TV thread but anyone planning on buying an UST laser projector? Setting aside a rainy day fun to buy one once I get a house. The LG CineBeam has great reviews. Hoping it doesn’t cost anywhere near 6k in a couple years

    FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

A Happy Pancake is a must! Went to the one in Omote-sando/Shibuya twice. The only thing I didn’t like is that the menu is set. You can’t order a side of bacon or eggs with the regular happy pancakes. Those only come with the whole grain pancakes (no butter or syrup). Not pictured are the...

    FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

Good ol Don Quijote. Has everything you could possibly need. Just hated those small *** aisles :lol Get the premium purple sweet potatoe / Beni imo Kit Kats. Not the ones that have a picture of an actual purple potatoe that’s yellow on the inside. It’ll have a pic of a pastry topped with this...

    FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

Definitely hit Dotonbori. A ton of restaurants and street food. My favorite was this Kobe beef spot Daigo Kobe Beef. Didn’t have a single bad meal in Japan. JR pass is well worth it if going cross country. Get a Suica/IC card as well to get around easier on the local metros and bus.

Home Buying & Real Estate Thread

I’d do Largo. The new hospital and shopping center should bring more value to the property. And SFH > townhouse as long as the place is structurally sound and you’re willing to invest in it you’ll be good.
