In the context of the film they really didn’t portray her as such, more of a witch like they also did with Circe, which is why I didn’t include her as being a ~god~ in this film…And of course the story is about the gods wrath, which is why emphasizing that wrath worked so much better for me than...

I very much enjoyed the lack of showing the gods in physical form…Aside from Athena taking on the form of the murdered priestess to weigh on Odysseus’s mental torment was a nice touch though…Otherwise the act of showing the gods rage rather than showing the actual gods worked for me…

I think I actually preferred it this way if I’m being honest…The visual ambiguity of it coupled with Matt’s dialogue was excellent…Like reading a very powerful scene in an excellent book…Just letting your imagination run wild with it…

I’ve got two IMAX screenings under my belt already and will probably aim for another next weekend sometime…Recency bias notwithstanding, might be Nolan’s best film…
