Would like to know what this white substance is on my Bred XI 2012 releases. They're legit. I've noticed the white substance appears after being worn. It is right above patent leather. Why does this happen? How do I prevent this?

Concord 11s Bred 11s I purchased both of these shoes for about $550. They both came with the box, shoe trees, XI cover and carbon fiber papers. I just need to know if they're legit. Thanks!
