I appreciate your work to keep this place going, thank you., and the care with which you answer a range of posts, from complaints to questions.
Additionally, I like to read every post you make in the voice of Cobra Commander, which never fails to make me laugh.
You're appreciated!
(COBRA!)
I had that happen once and ended up covered in gas. Drove home with the windows open. Luckily, this was back in the 20th century, when I didn't feel like Sonic losing all his rings when I fill up.
May the rest of your day make up for it! But a lottery ticket! Universe owes you!
Do it! The years I spent at home (0-4) with my younger daughter were some of the most important of my life… Money was tight, that’s a real stressor, but if you can find some space to think and also spend time with your kids… So good. There’s no do-overs!

Recently found another job. Asking myself how I’d like to trade my hours, and for what amount and under what circumstances is something of a privilege— many years I would have done any work— but it’s wild to be looking at fewer years ahead than behind and still thinking JOB.
(But I got one, haha)
They couldn’t get it together to enact it. Procedural. Stuck in subcommittee. One of the only things they could pass with bipartisan support and they can’t make it happen 😄
(I teach middle school and my students read about this, which is why I know; not a policy geek).
Sitting down all day is deadly! Biggest change for my health was giving up a desk and chair over a decade ago. Immediately dropped weight that never came back.
Worth it if you know the source. I mean Trunk doesn’t sound fancy, but if you know how it was fed and raised, that’s not a bad deal. Most meat is cheap because of government subsidies and a focus on the bottom line… the meat we often get in grocery stores is, like you said, so full of drugs…...
