These are sitting in a used clothing boutique near me and are VNDS, the look worn once or twice. The only thing is that they feel cheap, and thin. The tongue isn't puffy at all, but since these aren't an OG, I have no idea if these were made thinner and cheap feeling. Any thoughts, anyone?

Another big difference is the tongue. The UA tongue is good, really good. It is as standard as the mass produced authentic J1s. But on the SBBs the tongue is thick. It has more padding than the standard issue J1s. It is a noticeable difference when you have both pair in hand.

UPDATE: Color Insoles Toe box height - authentic pair is higher up UA toebox - perforations show white underneath as if there is a sneaker shield underneath but there is not one. Perforations aren't punched through all the way. And the glitter defect on legit pairs. Other minor nuances...

Your best bet it to get them from a legit source. If it seems too good to be true, it IS. Hence my thread here and then going to Stock X and buying from a trusted seller.

Any guess as to which one came from Stock X? Both are the right shoe.

I know they were having issues with shoes during that time frame with the glitter coming off the black. But those were legit pairs. Did they correct that on later production?

I was definitely skeptical on the insoles. I could tell that they didn't capture the light refraction correctly in the shattered glass. That was a red flag for sure when I got them in hand. You can see the difference for sure compared to yours.

I agree. The material difference is plainly visible with a legit pair to make the comparison. Photos from the internet in general aren't that reliable. Having pics from a known legit pair like you uploaded are what I needed. Thanks for you help. The SIs have a bigger swoosh though like the one...

I do see the slight nuances. I am going to cop a pair from Stock X and compare the two in hand. I am Paypal protected on these, so no worries there. But WOW. These shoes look SO good, feel SO good, and are even tighter stitched than some of the legit ones I got from Footlocker, &ct.

Actually, the laces were in and pulling the ankles in a bit on the left shoe. Here are some pics with the right and left respectively next to my J1 Sports Illustrated that I bought at Footlocker. TBH, the SIs look like crap compared to. Oh, I took the stitching out of the Swoosh, so that's why...
