I'd say size up since there are no half sizes. If shes a size 5 in womens she would be a 3.5 in mens so you should go for a 4. I'm a 9.5 and I got my slides in a 9 and it's a pefect fit tbh. If she has wide feet most def size up because the entry to the slide is so narrow.
