Added 4gb of ram (Total of 8gb now) to my 2010 MBP but I'm not seeing much speed increase. Anything I should do to change this?

Question: My roommate had his bass guitar returned to our apt from the repair shop. FedEx was responsible for the delivery and the dumb +$# deliveryman left a $900 bass guitar at the doorstep. No signature required or anything..... It was stolen, but why wouldn't FedEx make it a signature...
