If you can, get a pair of the first generation of Roses (1.0s/1.5s). I have the 1.5s and they are the absolute best shoes I've ever used. Since you dislocated your big toe though, I think the 1.0 would be a better choice. The 1.5 is pretty much a more plush 1.5, but the wider forefoot in the 1.5...

My Maroons look pretty small, and Mbah is DEFINITELY not as big as some of the other big men out there. He looked pretty damn skinny when I saw him on campus earlier today. Just hope my cuz can pull through and find his touch again.

I have pretty wide feet, especially my forefoot area, and both the Supernatural Creators and adiZero 1.5s fit me very well. The forefoot was roomy, but not to the point where your foot's moving around the shoe. The fact that the upper/heel cup really hold your foot down add to that.
