Hey guys. I just moved into a new place (for college) with a stranger (strike 1, I know).
The lease is signed with both of our names to a lady who lives in a nearby city. He is not my landlord although sometimes he acts like it.
Anyway, it's just over a week here and the dog has chewed up my...
Well it only takes once for me to learn my lesson. I suffered a scratched cornea from some hyper-active kid who thought he could steal the ball from me in a pick-up game. Spent a few hours in severe pain in the ER followed by almost 48 hours of not being able to open that eye despite the pain...
We all know about priceline and kayak for finding deals on flights etc.
But does anyone who travels regularly have any more 'insider' tips like credit cards that have the best rates and bonuses.
Programs or associations that if you join will give you hotel/rental car discounts etc.

I'm endeavoring to both save some money and more importantly eat healthier. I'm usually stuck on campus for lunch where I usually eat some sort of junk food everyday.
I have access to a small fridge, microwave and toaster oven so I'm thinking of starting to bring my own sandwiches a la this GQ...
I've realized my trident gum lasts maybe about 10 minutes after chewing before the freshness goes away. Most mints I've tried in the past weren't even that good.
How does everyone clean up their breath after meals etc. when brushing is not an option? Traveling, in and out of meetings, on a...
I searched all I could but couldn't find if this was already posted, I'm surprised it's not a 300 page thread by now

I have a Hannspree Xv 32" LCD TV from early 2007. It's always worked fine with cable connections and in every other way. I just moved to a new placeand had basic cable installed but for some reason when I try to auto scan or manual scan for channels it won't find any.
My main TV in the living...
I recently started swimming as a way to get some low impact (on the joints) cardio to go along with running and basketball. I'm still working out majorkinks in my stroke that are to be expected from someone who's developed bad habits (I'm in my mid-20's).
The biggest problems I've been having...

For those who aren't aware July 20th, 1969 was the day Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to touch down on the moon with MichaelCollins in orbit. A lot of people who weren't alive then don't really appreciate that journey and what it really means, it really puts things...
I had been researching this stuff a bit in an attempt to start getting into healthier habits overall. The deodorant thread and my new shaving kit (below) gotme to thinking what else I need to be switching up. Where better than NT to combine all this info into one place.

I'm shopping sub-$1000 notebooks at sub 5lbs weight class and all of them somehow come with fingerprint readers but no bluetooth, that and 3+ gigs of RAMis all I ask. where did we go wrong here? I feel perfectly safe typing in a password but now I can't connect my mouse?
This sucks.
Just finished the Great Escape. It's a 1963 film so I'll try to avoid spoilers...
It's a lil tough to compare since one was a true story and one wasn't but they are both historically great films about similar topics, from the sametime period, made in the same era.
I like Bridge on the River...
