Indeed, customization is just awful I think I've seen these before though, he did a signing early in '99 where the host had a bunch of these jersey's. Jerseys were authentic, I would guess factory blanks (or maybe tmacs/stoudamires?) which were altered into VC's by some moron with a sewing...
waste of a nice jersey... (and its being resold as we speak...)

As far as customizing goes, would it be possible to find someone to redo the numbers and nameplate correctly?
No way that was a legit auction for $500...
Personally, I thought that Vin Baker bucks jersey was a beauty: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBa...ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
I agree, it looks nothing like my procuts, compared to the pro cut its way off - although Nike was notorious for making retail authentics with smaller graphics and different nameplates. (I agree with Ninja, as far as the logos and nameplate M&N actually did replicate the procut alot more...
Can one of the jersey experts school me on this? I've never even seen a retail version Nike authentic raptors jersey (other than the occasional stoudamire), and the tags and everything look authentic - but the "c" in McGrady is supposed to be aligned with the bottom of the nameplate, not the...
I personally believe Nike found out how to corral the highly profitable urban youth demographic by using the hip-hop community to promote their products in a way never seen before. By equating the brand to one's urban "status" in a somewhat materialistic culture, it almost turned wearing...

Dare I engage in the Nike Air argument? Dare I once again question why I can't have Nike Air on the back?
I mean the quality, shape, materials, etc are going to be different, because the company increases profit margins on cheaper materials - and one could argue they are pushing JB as separate...

I'm in the same boat with you, I'm 22 now and rarely have the opportunity or desire to wear Jordans anymore. In fact, the first 10-15 pairs of my collection is hitting ebay next week.
I figure we all collect material items (sneakers) when we're in school to fill past subconscious emotional...

My argument isn't really about sizing or quality of mitchell and ness; I'm simply saying, as with any vintage trend, elitists see themselves as "better" by spending $$$ for the original, while the others will buy the branded remake just to fit in with the crowd. Nonetheless, its hard not to view...
