I got the fakes off of ebay. They are fairly common actually. Just make sure you get the right fake... lol. For your 3's, the 4's Nike Air will not match. You will have to find your own fake 3 or another template for it cause they have a different shape and they are thicker.

 The paint is like infused with the midsole, It's great!

You can do it with 1/6 inch plastic sheets, or silicone sheets, but I don't know where you can get those things. Which is why I didnt use those. :(
