Pros - Lightweight
Cons - Thin outsole
This review is for the First CW that dropped for this shoe. The black/white/blue color. These are very comfortable to wear. I have fat feet but the toebox has plenty of room in them. They have a bouncy feel to them when you put them on. I have this pair in an 11.5. I like the lacing system. It's very comfortable and simple. It doesn't squeeze your foot too much either. My favorite part of the shoe is the little flap that is on the outside of the shoe (where the white part comes up on the midfoot) and how it overlaps to provide support and almost locks your foot into the shoe. This also helps in the bouncy feel. The durabuck upper is very nice, it makes the shoe aesthetically pleasing giving it the classic feel.My only real concern is the outsole. I had a friend who had the OG in 1997 and one of the things I remembered the most from this shoe is after it gets beat, the outsole will either wear really thin and possibly separate from the shoe. Before it does that it's likely that the ball of the shoe will wear out (as you stop and go while walking and playing basketball if you cut and play defense). I lucked out and got these at FNL in December 2008 (way after the October RD) at retail.
My review is basically the same for this shoe with the exception of the leather being kind of stiff, which makes lacing the shoe a little tough. The times I've worm them, it was when the weather was cold so the leather could be hardened from the cold weather. These are slightly less comfortable around the instep of my right foot near my big toe, but the left shoe is fine.
To me, the most comfortable of the three, and my favorite. The leather is softer than the all white cw. The blue durabuck is really soft and the lacing system hugs your ankle. It fits the same as the black and blue cw.
