Pros - Excellent cushioning, superb traction.
Cons - Lacing system is annoying, forefoot is stiff/unflexible due to cushion setup.
The traction on the KD VI Elite is top notch. I had issues with slippage on a few other shoes (UA Anatomix Spawn and Nike HyperRev) playing on an unkempt court, but these performed much better. The cushion is excellent for impact protection and it is quite responsive. However, due to the cushioning setup, you don't get as much court feel as a shoe like the Kobe 9 or Rose 4.5. Also, the forefoot is very stiff and inflexible due to the full-length visible zoom unit. They tried to put some flex grooves in the midsole to improve flexibility, but it doesn't seem to help much. It's tough to lace these up real tight due to the reinforced flywire. I went TTS and I felt the shoe fit well, but I didn't feel entirely secure because I had so much trouble tying the laces tightly, which was frustrating. Overall, I felt like this was a decent shoe, but not really something that addresses my personal preferences. If you like soft cushioning, but don't mind stiffness in flexing the forefoot or sitting a little higher off the ground, then these might be worth a look.
