∞HBO: "True Detective"...Season 3 is Official...Mahershala Ali Officially Signs On∞

I binge watched season 1, I can't imagine having to wait in between weeks to get to the next episode. That would have been brutal. We'll see about season 2, body is ready

 

Sounds like Ray Velcro is going to find himself in a sticky situation.

 

I think you lose some of the experience by binge watching shows, especially TD. Half the njoymwnt of the ahow, for me at least, was that week in between. Readingabout the last ep, talking about theories with friends/coworkers, etc.

Well it wasn't really by choice, I missed out on TD the first time around so I just happened to check it out on HBO In Demand one night, couldn't stop watching. I finished the entire season in two nights (literally took zero breaks in between each episode). Went straight home the next day from work and didn't leave my bedroom until I finished off the last episode 

 

I don't know how season 2 was written, but season 1 felt like Illmatic in the moment so...

 

This will definitely not be better than the first. I'm pretty sure I will hate but, but I will watch. But I gurantee I will be grimacing the whole time.

As good as the first season was, i thought it fell off once they reached present day. I think around ep 5. Ill be open minded.

 

I just hope everybody on that S1 was the best nothing will be better than it "giving this season a chance" will dip after they feel it won't be up to par to S1.

I can see ppl complaining and keep referencing S1 to be even more annoying than all of the bogus ridiculous theories from S1.

 

The backwoods occult aspect of the first season is what drew a lot of people in and a ton of those same people are going to be disappointed when this one doesn't have all of the semi-supernatural undertones.

No it doesn't. The reason there's season warfare, is that they switching up everything. It'll dann near be a new show.

And I don't understand why people keep hating on the theories fans came up with about the show. That's a huge part of what made season 1 so fun. With all the Easter eggs they put into the show, a lot of the theories were plausible. Was I bit disappointed the ending was pretty cut and dry? Yes. But season 1 was both an awesome show and experience because of all that happened after the episode was over.

 

It's supposed to be a new show with a story that's unrelated to the first season.

 

Then those ppl need to accept that and move on or stay but stop complaining. Yall knew it'd be a new everything before S1 was even over.

Cuz they were all ******* garbage nonsense that literally littered the entire thread with tangent **** that in the end did not matter.

That **** made S1 fun to YOU and yall. Of course that **** seemed plausible to yall if you bought in to it. Show never went off the deep end in hinting it was something else. It was cut and dry. Rust Cohle was just out there kind of dude and the main murderer was a sick **** in to sick ****.

The season was greatness to me without all that. Simply off directing, acting, the dialogue and overall story.

 

Yea ppl gotta let season 1 go ...this show gon be different every season so might as well get used to it
