Today Carlo did not feel Italian. We needed to make the first half ugly. We picked a finesse lineup that made it enjoyable for City to play against at home

Less athletic, less technical, less work rate. No chance.

We also witnessed a team with mostly players in their prime vs a team made up of old timers and players yet to enter their prime.

Wow 4-0

Sheesh @ this game stats

Guardiola will finally win his first UCL title since his Barca years

And Alvarez with the potential quadruple???
Yikes. Only Inter possibly standing in his way.

people keep blaming carlo but he used these same dry tactics last year
And what happened he had to put on a bench players to save him, he gets out coached all the time, how often do you watch a RM match the past two years and think we start off a match well?

Differences were he’d start Valverde and bring Rodrygo off the bench. And we weren’t playing a 20 year old midfielder at LB. So with Fede and Mendy we were defensively tougher.

Benz played at a BdO level, Modric was still Godric. Modric got washed at an inopportune time where Carlo thought maybe he can still have one of those vintage games instead of picking a different midfield.

But I agree, and footy isn’t a best out of 7 where you can get it wrong and adjust. He tried sort of a repeat of last season and tried to aura his way to another CL and it didn’t work.

Also second leg not at the Bernabeu.
