Wheres everyone getting season passes to? my people are telling me kirkwood is cool

man i can't wait for this season. i'm thinking of getting a season pass too but not sure where i want to get one at. i usually go to sierra but i'm kind of getting sick of that place. how far is kirkwood from sf?

Best deal is ALWAYS the double whammy (although i think you need an ID)



You can go to Northstar or Sierra (and when there is blackout dates for northstar, Sierra is open).

If i recall, it was around 400 something. Its a good deal if you plan on going more than 15 times in the season, if not, i suggest going on craigslist to find day passes.



i need a new board, hopefully a Rome Agent.

How good are the deals during the Snowboard Convention?? I just started boarding last season, and want to get my own board.
 
I need to find my first board, probably a 161 or so. I'm ready to go to Tahoe as much as possible this season. Last year I only got up there 3 times, this year my goal is at least 8 :smokin

if you guys are in the south bay, i work at a snowboard shop with some of the best prices, holla at me if you need some stuff.

How about in terms of clothing though? Are they also below retail? I'm think my Forum board can last one more season. However, I need some new clothes for the snow season. Thanks.

I went to the snowboard show in San Jose, nothing worth buying, but the lift ticket for $12 was a deal.

Theres one next week in Sac.

i think global warming is really here. last season sucked and this season isnt starting off promising. i remember the good old days of snowboarding on realsnow around thnaksgiving time. mannnnn!

ive got the heavenly season pass the last 2 years and its definitely been worth it. the reason i prefer it to the sierra/northstar pass is you can go out tothe casinos, bars, clubs, etc. and have a good time at night and then board all day. theres a bunch of fairly cheap motels as well so thats pretty affordablelodging.

though did anyone else go up to tahoe this summer and notice they took out another two blocks of the motels across from the gondolas? seemed like an obviousplan for the big corporations but im sure that'll mean more expensive motels this year...
 
Heavenly is cool, but the season pass is very expensive. Its overpriced.

But, word. I dont even think it snowed once this year in Tahoe yet. If it did, it probably melted away by now. I dont feel like boarding on manmade snow allseason, but I don't think there will be heavy consistent snow anytime soon. Hopefully, by the middle of December, it will begin to snow daily.
 
Any go snowboarding this weekend?

Im probably going tommorow or thursday to Northstar, and its snowing all next week.
 
^ Wasn't there a storm system that passed down California about a week ago? Didn't check, but I assumed it would've snowed up in Tahoe. I don'tthink I've ridden in real snow sicne two seasons ago when we had that longass winter. been down in SoCal for school recently and went to Bear 2 weeks ago,all manmade snow.
