2007 DB RETRO 2 QUESTION

I purchased the db jordan 2 back in 07 and between now and than wore them once and put them in the box. well, i just now got them out again and gonna put them in regular rotation.  will these fall apart on me?  they were stored in the shoebox in a closet. im from illinois, so the weather is up and down. i recently sold my sister some ds white/yellow retro from 05 and after a few wears the top seperated from the sole. these were stored the same was as my db.

i thought it was very weird.  split clean off.    she used shoegoo so im  wondering how good that will do
