Nothing Imminent Between Angels, Padres Regarding Huston Street By Jeff Todd [July 18, 2014 at 5:32pm CDT] 5:30pm: “Nothing is imminent” between the Angels and Padres regarding Street, reports Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register (via Twitter). 5:16pm: The Angels are one of several teams in on Street, and no deal has been finalized, tweets Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times. 5:00pm: The Angels are close to finalizing a deal to add closer Huston Street from the Padres, reports Jim Bowden of ESPN.com (via Twitter). Los Angeles has indeed looked like a good fit for the 30-year-old righty. Certainly, he has more than justified his $7MM salary this year, with a 1.09 ERA on the back of 9.3 K/9 against just 1.9 BB/9. That also makes his $7MM club option for 2015 look quite attractive. mixed reports, but i have jacknicholson.gif cued up just in case
Trade done. Lindsay, Rondon, RJ Alvarez and another MiL for Street and a AA pitcher

Welcome Huston

YYYYEEEEESSSSS!!!! Definetly needed bullpen help.
Anybody get that same feeling from the 2002 season? Remember the A's won 20 in a row but we went something like 17-3 in that same span. I believe we had the 2 best records in the AL that season as well. -EDIT- Just looked it up and we had the 3rd best record. But Seattle won 93 games that season and were 10 games out :x eerily similar
yup. as long as huston pitches like i hope he does, the starters just need to give us 6 solid innings and our bullpen can take over in the playoffs - kohn, jepsen, salas, morin, grilli, smith, street, etc. i remember in 02 if we had the lead going into the 7th, we were money
^ same here!! Man, this team finally seems to have all the pieces in place, offense finally working all at once, great defense, upgraded pitching, and the ability to comeback and win games which they didnt have in previous years. I say we take a head count around here. I have a feeling come October/November lots of more people gonna pop up in here talking about " I been here all year!" lol The way the Halos have been playing this year is really helping me get through this disastrous Laker off season
i got no issue with fraudney if he does his bow and arrow thing it after a win. but bruh...why would you do it at the end of the 8th with trout and pujols up next? it's also really encouraging to see dudes like navarro and green stepping it up in clutch situations this series. hard to believe those dudes are our "young" guys, but are 4-5 years older than trout
