Wonder how much Bryce’s signing influenced Trout’s decision not to go to Philly. He already saw how bad a terrible contract can impact a franchise with Pujols. He wasn’t about to go through that again
I understand we were stupid and didn't pony up to get him, but I still think Harper goofed not joining us.
He got paid, can't be mad about that, but if he was batting behind Bryant, with Baez, Rizzo, and Contreras (R-L-R-L-R) behind him, he'd be doing an awful lot of winning the next few years.
