Jamaica only chance of individual gold is on mcleod now but the way the upsets have been happening and in the 110m high hurdles hes only got to hit 1 out of 10 hurdles to be out

Really wish is was Canadian dude who won the 100.. unfortunately he was out

Yeah De Grasse, he probably would've won it and left Bolt off the Podium. Coleman had the race until he lost form in the last 20m which is his weak part of the 100m so far. With De Grasse out of the 200m as well this really gives Wayde Van Niekerk a great chance at completing the 400/200 double this year without De Grasse in the 200m its much more open and Yohan Blake not looking in form. @DYNAMICS Your countryman De Grasse lost out prime opportunity this year in both the 100 and 200m. In these next few years De Grasse and Coleman should have a great rivalry, also another young american sprinter in Noah Lyles to watch since he's out of these World Championships as well. Wayde Van Niekerk will try to establish himself a dominant 200/400 guy like Michael Johnson was. Gatlin is 35 but after winning this he may try to pull a Kim Collins who's still sprinting at 42. Also a fun fact is Gatlin and Coleman are the first 2 to go 1-2 from same University Tennessee since Carl Lewis and Leroy Burrell from University of Houston in Tokyo

Def would've been favorite, he ran 9.69 this season although wind aided. Thing is there's just not much margin of error in a race like the 100m, thats why Elaine Thompson was upset yesterday after being undefeated in the 100m all of 2017 and 2016. Bolt's dominance from 2008-2016 is so crazy for a race like the 100m, going to really miss him from the sport and future olympics

De grasse would have won the 100, easy

Van Niekerk running a easy 20.16 200m, only time I remember this kind of near-20 second jogging is with Bolt and maybe Michael Johnson. Makwala has withdrawn eliminating another threat in the 200m for Van Niekerk. Lemaitre not looking good but advances. Warren Weir doesn't advance, the Jamaican struggle continues in the sprints

Turns out Makwala withdrawed bc of food poisoning, sucks big time. This 200m is decimated, No Bolt or Gatlin from the get go. Lyles the early WL picked up an injury at usatf. Coleman the next WL withdrew from the meet after his second place at the usatf, now makwala out.

Mcleod came through finally for Jamaica for an individual gold, will be their only 1. Wow 13.28 was good enough for medal. u would have barely the final with that time a few years back!

Smh iaaf doing makwala wrong. Wonder if van niekerk goes sub 43 today and what kind of time kerley can run after long ncaa season

Amos looked like he ran drunk in that 800m final kept crashing into runners

Too easy for Van Niekerk without Makwala or Kirani there to push him, jogged a 43.98

that was the winning time in the 4?

need to check the results.. the bahamain dude should have done ok.. he went sub 44 in one of the earlier rounds

Gardiner ran 43.89 in the semis and pushed himself too much didnt leave enough for finals and kerlew was just out from a long ncaa season. Yea 43.98 van niekerk shut it down easy

Definitely looks like the next great American 400m runner with what he did in NCAA this season. That long season definitely took a toll on him here at World championships. Hopefully he has enough to run a split in the 43s in the 4x400 relay which they may need him with Merritt maybe not running. Michael Johnson, Jeremy Wariner, Lashawn Merritt, Steve Lewis, Butch Reynolds, the 400m was dominated by Americans for so long but now with Van Niekerk looking so dominant Kerley is looking like the only young american to challenge for these next years to come.

i think moving forward kerley could be great.....

400m hurdles showdown today should be between Kerron Clement and Karsten Warholm
400m Allyson Felix and Shaunae Miller rematch from Rio

jesus.. i wanna know what happen to my girl miller in the 4 just now.. looked like her hammy caught her at the end
