2020 Chevrolet Corvette

Chevy Keeps Its Promises, New Corvette C8 Has Sub-$60,000 Starting Price In The USA

The 2020 Corvette Stingray 1LT will set you back $59,995, including the $1,095 destination charge. It’s also packed with more gear than you’d probably expect, such as: keyless entry and push-button start, dual-zone climate control, 8-inch infotainment system, 12-inch instrument cluster display, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bose premium sound system, cruise control and 8-way power seats wrapped in Mulan leather.

Choosing the 1LT variant of the American supercar will also get you launch control, drive mode selector with Tour, Sport, Track, Weather, MyMode and Z-Mode driving modes, and the piece du resistance, the 6.2-liter, small block V8. The mid-mounted engine produces 490 horsepower (497 PS / 365 kW) and 465 pound-feet (630 Nm) of torque, matched to an eight-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission, which sends the power to the rear wheels.

Other variants available are the 2LT and 3LT, which start at $67,295 and $71,945, respectively. The former adds a heated steering wheel and heated and ventilated seats, head-up display, wireless charging pad, navigation system, auto-dimming rear camera mirror, memory seats, more speakers for the Bose audio, universal home remote, SiriusXM sat-radio with 1-year subscription, side blind zone alert, rear cross traffic alert and others. The 3LT will get you the GT2 seats with Nappa and Mulan leather and carbon fiber trim, and custom leather for the rest of the interior.

You can also order the Z51 performance package on all trim levels, whose pricing remains unchanged at $5,000. It adds a front splitter and rear spoiler, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, enhanced cooling, front brake cooling inlets, larger brake discs, performance exhaust system and suspension with manually adjustable threaded spring seats, plus the electronic limited-slip differential. With the Z51 performance package, the new Corvette Stingray accelerates to 60 mph (96 km/h) in less than 3 seconds, almost a second faster than its predecessor.

The performance exhaust system, which lifts the output by 5 hp and 5 lb-ft (7 Nm) of torque, can also be ordered as a $1,195 standalone option, whereas the front suspension lift system, with available storage for up to 1,000 locations, will be available on the 2LT and 3LT for $1,495.

Customers can also personalize the new-gen Corvette by choosing one of the 12 exterior colors. For the cabin, they have 6 shades at their disposal, along with 2 stitching packages, 3 seat choices and 6 seatbelt colors.

Production of the 2020 Corvette Stingray will kick off at the end of the year at GM’s Bowling Green Assembly plant, in Kentucky.

the Ford GT would never. and I heard dodge abandoned their mid engine viper concept a long time ago. But maybe after they see the sales for the C8 , they will want to make a new car and not switch up their iconic vehicles?... Im thinking even some of those korean manufacturers or even Toyota bring back the MR-2 if the GR Supra fails

I never seen a car that retracts/deploys the roof while driving.
I like this model but i think the next refresh will be better. The taillights are too much like a Camaro and that vent on the side is placed awkwardly.

I never seen a car that retracts/deploys the roof while driving.

most recently, its been allowed when driving up to 25-35mph but a few years back its a safety concern because some would retract the roof while driving on the freeway

if they are going to allow it though, they better make it a one-push operation, its dumb that you still have to hold the button until operation finishes

No one thinks that white one posted a few posts above looks really weird?
