no patina like real leather, typically its thinner than normal leather as well, so the shoe will be less durable. also its not porous at all so it can be uncomfortable over longer periods of wear because it isn't breathable. I think from a touch perspective manufacturing has become decent enough that the feel in hand will be ok, but i think you'll def notice the difference during wear
