Clinton, MTV generation, desert storm (90's)
rise of social media, Obama, bush, 9/11 (00's)

and im being EXTRA generic...those decades were sooo much more fulfilling.

2010's is straight holding on to coat tails.

I remember when complex had a panel discussion and eggplant Foamposites came up and da white soho guest sitting next to DJ Clark Kent was like "I don't know what to do or I wouldn't think about eggplant Foamposites"

that was when those worlds collided.

Stock X & Goat definitely streamlined what us vets already did with Ebay....

I'll say this, hyped has funneled to alot smaller section of sneakers in this era, where as da 2000's you had:

-Nike retro basketball

-Nike SB

-jordan

-air max

now? its all collabs, and that's it. ALOT of ish lost luster this decade....i been scoring uptowns DIRT cheap on ebay...Jordans aren't hot hot anymore either.

There will be less and less nostalgia as we move forward. The algorithms have studied us long enough to figure out the schedule when to feed us crap and make whatever it wants cool. Crack era and hip hop will be further romanticized and gentrified.

When I was growing up white kids did not listen to rap and buy Jordans like they do now.

There will be more lil uzis and post Malone's than Gucci's.

Smart phones got smarter.

Not looking forward to 5g.
