Do you put your butter in the fridge or leave it out?

Me and some co-workers were talking about this and I had no idea some actually leave their butters out. Doesn't that **** go bad after a while? I put mine in the fridge and will cut a piece and put it in the microwave for 10 seconds. What about you?

Yes eventually, salted butter takes longer to spoil because the salt preserves it longer

a lot of it is bought room temp.
