@Methodical Management, I'd be more than happy to take a crack at the badges if you proceed to set up a fundraiser.

    Geez man.

Damn yo, how do you just pick up and rebuild after such devastation? I'm sure some people were building homes/buisnesses etc for years... just to see them crumble in a matter of minutes. Not to mention the lives that were lost.

    RIP

    Alright guys, we're in business:

    https://www.mercycorps.org/people/niketalk/NepalEarthquake

The initial goal is $3,000.  Who will be the first to contribute?

To those interested in creating graphics for us, we need three different badge designs:  one for those who contribute between $10-24, one for those who contribute between $25-99, and one for those who contribute over $100.

These were the winning designs for our Typhoon Haiyan fundraiser:

    $10 - 24  Basic Supporter Badge

    $25 - 99  Special Contributor Badge

    $100+  Elite Fundraiser Badge

To work on our current system, the graphics MUST fit into the same space as the above badges - no exceptions.

We're looking for clean, graphic, stylish designs that build upon each other.

Another great example is @lobotomybeats  book design used in last fall's Room to Read fundraiser:

Since this is for the people of Nepal, using the Nepalese flag would be one appropriate direction, and would fit in with our badges for Japan, Somalia, and the Philippines.

If you contribute to our campaign before the badges are ready, you WILL still receive one as soon as they're done.  You can also upgrade your contribution to receive a higher badge tier, and you can always select the badge associated with a lower tier if you prefer - so there's no downside whatsoever to contributing now.

To receive your badge, be CERTAIN that you leave your NikeTalk account name in the comments section!!!

Please accept my condolences concerning the loss of your friend.

We'll do our best as a community to come together in honor of her, and all those who have suffered due to this terrible tragedy.

It's late but thought I'd come up with something anyway.

Anyway, did a quick outline of Everest.

I don't really like how the left side of the mountain just cuts off. I'll probably have it cut straight into the corner.

If anyone is designing a badge, here's the hex code for the crimson red on the flag: #DC143C

Is there any connection between this earthquake and the volcano eruption in Chilè?

Very sad and unfortunate for those who lost their homes, families and loved ones.
"design like you give a damn" and architdcts without borders need more funding to help rebuild cities in situation such as this. Disaster relief architecture is a niche so to speak that isn't really focused on unfortunately. Many chapters have closed due to lack of funding. Such a shame.

I got you Meth. Let's get the ball rolling on this.

NikeTalk has done great things in the past. Now it's time again to come together as a community and help the people and families of Nepal. Let's surpass our goal!

    Heres a quick attempt

Tryna do something with a Himalayan Prayer flag theme

Maybe a little too rainbow-ish, and maybe too busy without being obviously Nepal
