95 Concords/crumbling sole

I'm interested in buying these og concords for a restoration project. Everything seems to check out to my observation besides being misshapen, beat, and the sole in unusable condition. Which is my main question for you guys, have you ever seen a 10 or 11 sole in such bad condition? I've seen them ripped and cut, but never withering away like this. Of course, they are sneakers after all, do you guys think it's from natural age or are they bootleg to begin with?

To answer my own question, I concluded that these were just so beat that the sole was ripped off voluntarily.
