A little help? Dying some Pearl Foams.

Yo wsup fam, just a quick question.

I'm dying my soles of my pearl foams black because the previous owner dyed it smurf *** blue.

Would the foam material get dyed if i just let it sit in a pan/container full of rit dye and water? I was planning to do this method because it was easier.

OR

should I remove the entire sole, dye it, then reglue it?

I appreciate all yours guys' help in advance.

I definitely wouldn't Just put them in a pan with dye. Check this pic someone posted in there after they messed up. Dye all over the place.
