its a Honda so it'll last, it's easy to fix/maintain etc. it's also upgradeable (engine, stereo, rims whatever). and it commands respect even asstock. it's got class, style and power (all to modest but noticeable levels)

hell of a buy as long as its been kept in good shape. that's a car for life.

definately a car i would consider if i was looking for something in its class.

MUCH better than say like g35 in that year or something similar. if maintained well the car will be like new even after 10 years. (my dad's TL is almost 10years still drives very very well)

I have an 01 3.2 TL with Navigation...I love the car. Maintenance is cool plus as someone mentioned above, it's a Honda. If you treat it right, it will dothe same. It takes premium gas and one time I put regular in there and it was acting funny [IMG][IMG]..that was the last time I did that..It rides smooth, tiresarent that expensive, looks nice, etc...

I doubt the 04-05 you're looking at needs the timing belt service, but make sure the timing belt and water pump are good to go...

Overall, I love the car and passengers always comment on the leather/Navi/smooth ride..

i just drove a 2008 TL as a loaner from the dealership. I was very impressed. It had bluetooth, navi, a backup camera, and tons of other cool features. I'mdefinitely looking into getting a Used 06-08 model.

05 Acura TL is the best bfybuck at that price range.

    The top 3 Best BFYBuck:
    2006 Lexus GS300
    2006 Infiniti M35/45
    2005 Acura TL

If I was in the market for a TL, I would look into the 07-08 TL; beefed up grill, fog lights, updated Navi, & white tail lights adds a nice touch to analready beautiful car. Price range for a 07 should be in the 23K range.

Ive got an 03 TL type S. The transmission went out at 21K which is a know problem for that year but they replaced it no problems and havent had any problemssince then. I need to take it in for the 105K service which costs a grip over $1K i think. Really debating if it is even worth it.

It's a solid car if you dont mind FWD. Looks good, easy to maintain, good features.

Try and get the 3rd gen type-s if you can.

knocks on it...looks a little dated. honda/acuras have transmission issues.
but overall...great car. good value, as all acuras are.
