people just assume goodfellas is superior like imdb ranking it #14 but casino wayyy back in the 100s, I dont really see it. dinero's/pesci's performance and characters stood out WAYYY more in casino, the female character was better, the story had more turns, even Remo the boss role was more believable than softy Pauly, everything from his hand motions to raspy voice
plus there was no "desert scene" in goodfellas

Nah brah. Sorry, Casino is too long. Goodfellas was damn near perfect.

Don't get it twisted though, Casino is a VERY close 2nd.
 
pesci played the same character on both movies.. i don't see how it stood out more in one or the other. and of course deniro's stood out more than in goodfellas.. the movie was about him.

i enjoyed casino very much. but i like goodfellas more than casino.

just saw it yesterday too (casino) lol
 
I agree. Casino is just more enjoyable to watch for me. Both movies are classic, but I just love the entire setting of Las Vegas and how they were from Chicago. I also enjoyed how Nicky and his brother got murked at the end; with the song, it was a classic-chilling scene.
 
I dont know I love casino And I love GoodFellas. ill prob take casino over goodfellas too but only because I've seen goodfellas so many times. and casino only a couple. 
 
i really dont see how casino was a great movie as people put it to be

I think in all fairness, I should explain to you exactly what it is that I do. For instance tomorrow morning I'll get up nice and early, take a walk down over to the bank and... walk in and see and, uh... if you don't have my money for me, I'll... crack your #@%%%%' head wide-open in front of everybody in the bank. And just about the time that I'm comin' out of jail, hopefully, you'll be coming out of your coma. And guess what? I'll split your #@%%%%' head open again. 'Cause I'm #@%%%%' stupid. I don't give a +@%$ about jail. That's my business. That's what I do.
 
Casino dragged a little, the part with the bats, beating the %!!$ out him was great.

But it isn't goodfellas.

I love Goodfellas, but it felt a bit long and slow towards the end, whereas Casino was just flashy and extra all the way
both great movies though, but I could watch Casino any day
 
Just seen Casino in full for the first time 2 weeks ago. Don't think i've seen Goodfellas yet.
 
I have to agree... i'm in the minority i guess when i say ... iono why goodfellas is so revered
 
Nope.

Casino is still excellent but I thought the overall story and flow/pace was much better in Goodfellas. Casino dragged on at times, Pesci played the same role essentially and I like him better in Goodfellas.

Plus I think Ginger took away from the overall movie, she was good no doubt, but I got tired of her presence.
