I wore my black/grey pair the other day and I must say, these are o e of my ALL time favorite nike’s That i’ll Never sell and probably get more pairs if these get trashed over the years. Such a timeless classic!

damn that white and orange pair seem to be moving well

i need them to hit ndc so i can try and get those and that other pair with a code

Risky is an understatement. My 1998 pimentos crashed and burned 4-5 years back. My 1999ish royal blues around the same time too (pictures below).

Interesting to see Nike go white based uppers on a few of these latest. That sort of gives me hope. I always dreamed of that. But they aren't hitting the right notes.

As of the last ten or so years, They never got the webtec right. It's supposed to be this ripstop nylon webbing, not frickin plastic.
Other than that qs auburns, the leather quality has always been suspect.
The suede mudguard has always felt super cheap and ugly.

They sorta did the 1997-2000 era. But never to my satisfaction. Maybe I'm just stubborn.

The list goes on. But these Later retros

Never came close to the late 1990 retro era. I guess you just had to see it and feel it in person.

$120 and up for pleather is a joke.

Wow forgot about these. I miss my 2000-2001 comet red obsidian Navy retros.

They used to be such a soft and comfortable shoe. I only wear my 09s once in awhile. My qs auburns are like gold. I wonder why they never went with more qss

It's cool theyre trying new white based colors. But just like the beets and reds of old,

Quality is undeniably crap. So even if colors are somewhat right, the whole package hasn't come close to 1997-2003 era retro. 15 years later, Nike continues cutting corners. MSRP had gone up $20-30 in just 11 years. Let that sink in.
