So I was bored & decided to disect my 89's to try & salvage the Air unit ( wich I failed to do so

) & when I started pulling it apart I found these. I know they havethe same sole & almost identical uppers but I was suprised to see this.

Is this common with all nike shoes? I just thought it was an interesting fin & I would share with you all.

It was common back when Jordans were first being produced. The sole of the AJ1 is the same as the Dunk?, AJ2 is the same as the AF2, the AJ3 is the same as theAir Revolution, the AJ4 is the same as the Flight. After that they had their own soles (soul too

).

I thought I was obivious considering the sole and shape. They came out around the same time. It seemed to me that the AJ4 was the Lexus version and the 89 wasthe Toyota version

i wouldn't say that considering da air revolution had da midsole before da air jordan III's did.

same with da flights.

Yeah, I thought it was obvious also. It's just that people think Jordan's came out with the III and IV soles first.

I always liked the 89's, but not what Nike's done to them with some of their colorways and patent leather.

I just picked up a pair the other day.

yes the aj iv and flight 89s only differ in the uppers. i don't know if the more recent flight 89 retros still have the forefoot air unit or not though...
