Yeah but when your son grows out of em, you can keep them to give them to him years from now. Or maybe just keep for yourself. I have a good friend of mine that gave his sons 1997 playoff 12s back to him after all these years.

That is why the patent leather was such a great feature. To prevent the shoe from doing that to such extreme.
