I just copped mine from the Nike Factory store by me. Any flat 54” should work though. That being said both the FTL and FTA in my mall no longer carry laces.

IMO these shoes just has to have laces, I mean look how much better it looks with them!!! FREAKING FIRE if you ask me!!! now i got OG grape 5's and couldn't be happier!!!

i got 48 inch Nike laces and they fit perfect as you can see. (from E bay)

54 inch laces worked when I tried them on my other 5s. I haven't put the lace holes yet in the FP 5s. Keeping the option open. Looks like 54 inch is just enough if you want to lace all the way up to the top and use lace locks only. Probably not long enough to tie a knot though.

This is true. The pic I have of my finished product is how I wear mine. Top holes laced pulled slightly tight through the lace locks. I have 63" in my black metallic 5 OG's from the factory and it's way too long, even if you need to tie a knot I think.

Nice for casual wear. Snug fit on the forefoot though. Otherwise, comfort is excellent.

Worn a handful of times. I wear sneakers everyday and it's always indoors so mine are great. They are probably my most comfortable 5. And yeah the ankle padding is much more substantial but IMO it's obviously to help keep the shoe in place with no laces. Glad I put laces in mine it just makes them more snug and comfortable.

Finally got a pair on the way, $185 stockx bid accepted w/ free ship. Not sure if I’ll perform full surgery on em, but I’m sure I’ll have to pop the tongue stitches at least. Wide footer, got TTS.. excited to see em in hand. Materials looking good, and it’s hard to pass on a NA classic. Those that have added laceholes/ laces, they look great! Will definitely be contemplating making a new, wearable, pair of grape retros.

Just got my pair in, and these things are nice! Butter soft materials, vibrant colors and NA looking crisp. Only issue I see is what appears to be some overdriping glue (maybe?) on the midsole. And they’re OD tight around the midfoot.. hopefully the elastic straps will give with wear. Already popped the stitches on the tongue, which helps a little.

Well, ended up caving and picking up a pair off StockX for under retail. Now will have to customize them. To those of you that customized yours to have laces, what lace locks did y'all pick up to add to these?

Mine are still DS, and while I was originally gonna keep them as is, I’m probably gonna tweak them like a lot here already have. I’ll prpbab wear them once before, just to feel how they fit.
