Air Jordan III OG Black Cement returns Feb 2018 - Nike Air on the back

Picked up my Grail today...

 

keeping my 2011 black cements on ice just in case these release... then i will cop multiples of these and flip my 2011s... it just sucks cuz the black cements are my favorite 3 and its the only pair i got... i want to wear them badly

 

Just wear them bro...not worth it to leave them in the closet.

You shouldn't wear those, just leave them in the box. I'm all for wearing shoes, but after six years those will crack so badly that you'll regret it. If you were going to wear them, you should've worn them from the start.

 

The paint would've cracked regardless, then or now.

No disrespect, but if you REALLY wanted to wear them within the last six years, you would've just did it and tried to keep them clean.

At this point a new release should be coming sooner than later so you might as well stick to your plan and get you some Nike Air and a midsole that will have proper paint.

 

Wore my yesterday all day and besides the minor crack line nothing major.  Worst comes to worst will just have the midsole repaint.

 

i had the CDP for the longest and those were my go to black cements so i had an extra pair on ice in the 2011s... i rocked those CDP to death and they got beat over the years especially after one black out night smh... i ended up selling them last year and still had my 2011s DS but since the news of the nike air pair releasing i had no desire to rock them... i rather have the nike air pair in multiples and just sell the 2011... i never liked the glossy black part in the back but i kept the pair cuz i like 3s in general specifically the black cements

Wear your shoes - and honestly, it's the 2011 BC3 we're talking about here, they all cracked to hell regardless.

I still have a DS pair and I'm waiting for summer to break them out - too much mud/dirt/water during these NY north eastern springs.

They can crack on your feet, or rot in the box - still not a reason to not wear and enjoy them. The only real reason to keep them on ice, is because they are more valuable to you personally DS as a collectors item.

Mine aren't collectors items, to some people - they are. So it all depends.

A few more months...

 

I've lost my love for IIIs, IVs and Vs. I only get excited about releases of these shoes in the fire-red colorways.

When the fire-red IIIs release (with or without Nike branding) I'll be all in.

Might as well sell them now. Once the Nike Air retro drops, the 2011 will be all but worthless.

 

While the 2011 BC 3's might drop a little in value when/if NA BC 3's come out, they won't be worthless... Try looking for a pair of 2011 WC 3's and you'll see they still fetch a pretty penny, while not as high as WC 88's they still hold some value as 3's are one of the most popular silhouettes out there..

 

I just got rid of my BC3. Paint chipping was terrible

 

Yeah worthless was too strong. I've seen True Blue from 2011 DS going for around retail. Black Cements are a bit more regarded, but the price drop will still be huge.
