Looks like this year's retro is most similar to the 94's. Not too far off from the OGs though.

Hey guys I am newer to NikeTalk (as a member, have lurked for a long time) I can't believe I just found this thread. I just started reading it and it's amazing. Shout out to all of you who love Air Jordan 1's!!! (My favorite AJ) and thank you all for the great pictures and information! 

 

Just picked up these 85 chi 1's for a friend of mine but after closer look we noticed the wings were really close to the eyelets and looked misplaced. Also the sku is different from most we've seen with 850911BY. Everything else seems to check out tho. Let me know your opinion.

 

I wasn't even aware that there are fake 85's, not saying your pair is fake since I don't have 85's to compare to. I hope it's just quality control issues

Hard to tell because I've seen a few 85 chi's and even royals that have the same sku 85XXXXBY and misplaced wings flaw.

85s are a bit outta my area unfortunately

 

retros in 1s are pretty close to OG i just wish nke took the extra step and made the heel portion straight up like the OG. kinda bothers me. but DRN that collection is sick. remember when you used to be on ************* from way back. like 06. u got a monster collection. 

 

I love the straight back of 85's. Such a distinguishing look, I too wish the latest retro had that same line. Someone on IG mentioned the curve is for more comfort but I wouldn't be able to chime on that until I get a pair of 85's to wear

after seeing these comparison pics i think i like the 94 mold the best, wish they had more colorways in 94 though

 

@rcjbbp1313 Luckily the mold being used now is very close to the 1994 mold

 

yes i am quite pleased with the new mold especially post SBB, i hope metalics come out soon and we need white/blue lows with good quality
